I am also so envious. I had wan...I am teary eyed. I am also so envious. I had wanted to do some missionary work as a young person but it never came to be...I went off to college and became completely self-centered and gluttonous! I think of those years and all the time I wasted! Now I serve the hungry and the naked here in my own home...sometimes I feel like I "missed out" on serving the Lord by serving the poor more directly. I feel like I am not doing enough to build His Kingdom...I used to discuss this often with my spiritual advisor (now deceased)and he would have to remind me that I had to live out my vocation as wife and mother eith missionary zeal! That can be difficul! I will get this book you recommend in hopes that it will help me to see better how i can do this.
