I was wondering if you read the article in the Staten Island Advance yesterday about the mom who doesn't regret aborting her son who had DS. Too bad the writer didn't interview you. You can find it at silive.com
It is very hard to read, but it demonstrates the state of mind of some parents as to why they abort. Obviously, it is based on misinformation and misconceptions. The very sad part of it is that she states that she is "very Catholic". At first when I read this, I just wanted to shout at her, but the more I thought about it, I just want to hug this woman. She obviously regrets what she did and on some level knows it was wrong, but she has has gotten caught up with the popular notion that only normal, perfect children deserve to be born. She deserves our prayers for her to be reconciled to Christ and for the Holy Spirit to counsel her on the Faith. Let me know if you can't find the article. Judy M.
